Description: The village of Kedang produces no ikat, but offers extraordinary pieces decorated with supplementary warp, tapestry weave and twining. Flores and Sumatra also produce similar pieces. They are very rarely put out for sale to collectors. This piece was collected in the mid-80s and was purportedly then at least 40-60 years old.
