Suzanne Larson was born into a family of artists, musicians, designers and writers. She, however, ventured into veterinary medicine. So, when the muse overtook her, animal and nature themes emerged in her work. Her media include assemblage art, clay, welding, torch work and kiln formed glass.
Suzanne has benefited from a formal education in art, Hofstra University, University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, education in vision, color, music, rhythm and words throughout childhood in the United States and France; and through mentors throughout her life including private study with John Gleason, Ursula Broadouf, Kerry Transtrum, Newy Fagen and Michael Dupille.
She has shown at Red Butte Gardens, the Springfield Museum, the Patrick Moore Gallery and Hogle Zoo’s World of the Wild in Utah, and at Quan’tum Art in Chandler, Arizona. Her work is in collections in New York, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico.
