the wax becomes metal

The wax model is converted to metal using the lost wax casting process. We suspend the wax model in a ceramic cylinder and fire it at 1300 degrees for about twelve hours. The ceramic hardens and the wax model burns away leaving an exact impression in the cylinder. Under cetrifugal force we inject molten metal into the ceramic cylinder. When it cools we dunk it in water which cracks away the ceramic. This leaves the metal model which is an exact replica of the wax model we carved.
